Hospitals in Connecticut

• In Connecticut sexual assault exams and evidence collection can be conducted at any hospital emergency room throughout the state within 120 hours following an assault. It is against the law for victims to be billed for the exam and evidence collection. Victims also have the right to have a sexual assault crisis counselor present to support them there.
